Film Screening: Counted Out with EdVestors

  • Boston Public Library — Rabb Hall 700 Boylston Street Boston, MA, 02116 United States (map)

Join us for a special screening of “Counted Out. Math is Power” followed by a panel and community discussion.

This documentary shines a light on math as the foundation of democracy and economic opportunity. It illustrates the urgency behind EdVestors’ current work in mathematics: fostering strong math identities among students, ensuring equitable access to rigorous and relevant mathematics coursework, and implementing of high-quality mathematics instruction.

We will also be joined by activists, innovators, and educators Omo Moses and Maisha Moses. Their work builds on the legacy of their father, Bob Moses, founder of the Algebra Project, which uses mathematics as an organizing tool for quality education for all children in America. These leaders will share reflections after the screening.

Free RSVP here.
